I'm going to be hiking the Pacific Crest Trail this summer, and I'm pretty certain that around July 1 I'll be near Truckee or Reno. I'd love to make it to the Festival, so if anyone might be available to give me a ride (I'll be cleaned up from the trail, so not too stinky) I'd be mighty happy about that. I've never been to the HSMF or any other music festival for that matter, and I've heard this is the one to see.

Send me a private message if you think you'll be able to help out. And if you're driving anywhere near Bishop, CA after the festival, that would also help.

Thanks for the heads-up on the shuttle from Reno. I'll look into that when I get closer.

Still, if anyone has the extra car space, I'd love to tag along. Cheers!

I might be able to help a fellow PCT hiker (I have 3 sections finished), but can't commit due to waiting on two friends to decide if they are going. I'd have to pick them up at the airport. Their stuff would fill my car. I can drop you off in Lee Vining afterward if it works out. That is an easy hitch to Bishop or you can wait for the CREST bus. I'll monitor this board as it gets closer. Private messaging is currently disabled on this board.

Thanks, infinitetrails! I'll keep an eye on this board also. Just let me know as the time approaches. If you end up not having room for me I'm sure I'll find another way in. If you do have room, I'd love to join. Cheers!

Rhett, I think I've found a ride already, although I don't have a ride away from the festival back to the trail... I may try to call you in the next couple of days if that's cool with you. Thanks so much for the offer!
