I (respectfully) disagree with you on this. I think people mix up a diminished profit margin with actual loss. They sold a decent amount of tickets, they sold merch for days and days, vendors, etc.

We shall agree to disagree, and a hope for a glorious return to Indio.

They definitely lost some money on that event. Doesn't mean it won't happen again. It went off without a hitch and people had nothing but glowing reviews - audience/band. Sometimes it's not about the money. that will come in time with tradition. I think if Phish ever does another festival in the Fall months, it'll be in Indio again at that exact spot.

For Summer, I wouldn't bet against a return to an east coast town.

if phish plays 4 nights at the greek i probably wont go anywhere else to see them this summer, aside from my trip to alpine. im not holding my breath, however

One of the best things about Phish is its a common thread i share with almost ALL of my friends, even though we all like totally different shit when it comes to music, Phish always brings us back together...
